Our parish prison ministry, in conjunction with the Christ the King parish prison ministry, is dedicated to bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to the incarcerated. We visit the Falkenburg Road jail once a week, and gather as the Body of Christ, in what we lovingly like to call “Our Lady of Hope parish”. The volunteers are accompanied by Deacon David Lesieur in order to bring Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Eucharist for the inmates through a Communion Service or the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. As volunteers, we lead discussions or give talks on matters of the faith, according to the needs of those attending the services. We have talks on faith formation, prayer, apologetics, liturgy, and basically anything they would like to know more about. We also collect individual prayer intentions, so we may pray for their specific needs.
How can you support our ministry?
Prayers! Please pray for those incarcerated and for those who minister to them.
Donations of men and women’s clothing are gladly accepted.

“Simply put, the work of the prison ministry volunteer is to help spread the Good News of Jesus Christ; His forgiveness and promise of salvation and above all, His love. Volunteers are in a unique position to offer, through the witness of their lives, their gifts of time, talent and service, Christ’s redeeming promise and presence among us.” Deacon Peter Andre
