Medical Mission 2012
Our mission dates are set this year for April 18-28. Again we hope to see about 1700 people in the 4 days of the actual medical mission, April 23-26! We will also teach the local parish leaders to give a simple class in healthy practices. We will provide a hygiene kit for each person who attends as well as two months of vitamins. Our team will stay at the parish house with the new pastor, Fr. Ernest Angrand. We met Fr. Ernest on our December 2011 visit to Dilaire. He was a wonderful host and is eager to continue our sister relationship.
For our 3rd Medical Mission, we are collecting these items:
Cash $$$$ is welcome at any time- to purchase medicines in bulk and supplies for the temporary clinic & items for hygiene kits
Items for shipping are due by Feb. 26!!!!
~pain relievers: ibuprofen and acetaminophen(Exp. dates for all these need to be after November 2012)
~jars of peanut butter as a prescription for malnutrition, baby food
~shampoo, soap, toothpaste, DENTAL FLOSS
~Rice, dried beans, powdered milk
~Gasparilla beads, small clean stuffed animals in great shape, small cars, trucks, balls, and other simple toys.
~Off road bicycles in good working condition and extra parts
Bring items to the hallway in the church.
Corpus Christi Parish engages with our sister parish, St. Michael the Archangel Parish….to manifest through prayerful reflection and sacramental activities that our stewardship of God’s gifts extends to all of His families.
Thank you always for your generosity.
