Liturgy
Full, active, conscious participation: Get involved in one of our Liturgical Ministries!
Liturgy means ‘work of the people’. Corpus Christi Catholic Church is a Eucharist – centered faith community which welcomes full, conscious, and active participation from all who take part in our liturgies. There is much work which goes on behind the scenes of the Sunday Mass and other liturgical celebrations. We welcome those who wish to serve in one of our liturgical ministries; or perhaps consider volunteering as a sacristan; or maybe help us with the church decor as a member of our Arts and Environment committee. If you are interested in giving of your time and talent by serving in one of the many ways needed to ensure Corpus Christi liturgies are the best we can offer our Lord, please call the parish office to volunteer.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
To accommodate distribution of Communion the deacons and concelebrating priests assist as Ordinary Ministers of Communion. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC) are called upon from the congregation to give assistance to the ordinary ministers. These individuals serve Christ who is present in the assembly by ministering his Body and Blood to their sisters and brothers. Some extraordinary ministers, after specific training and approval, also serve the Body of Christ by taking Communion to those members who, through sickness, old age, or other causes are prevented from taking part in the Mass.
EMHC are to be fully initiated members of the community, both male and female, sixteen years of age or older and be physically and mentally capable of distributing Communion at Mass without need of asssistance.

Lectors
Proclaiming the Word
Lectors must love the Word of God and agree to serve on a regular scheduled basis. We especially invite our young adults, teenagers, and the young at heart to consider serving in this rewarding ministry.

Ministers of Hospitality/Ushers
People experience the presence of Jesus Christ in the world through the ministry of the Church.
The first task of the parish community is to reach out to all people in Christian love and service. Christian hospitality draws people together, opens them to participation, and sets the tone for the liturgy. It is our goal to provide a hospitable environment at our liturgy.
Ministers of Hospitality or Greeters or Ushers should genuinely like people. They should be comfortable meeting and greeting others. They must always extend a sense of welcome to others and make them feel at home. Such qualities are a blessing, especially to the stranger in our midst.
