Faith Formation for Adults

Mission Statement

Professing one Faith, one Lord and one Baptism; the Adult Faith Formation Ministry of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, strengthened by Prayer, the Sacraments, Sacred Scripture, and the Holy Spirit, seeks to foster life-long religious growth through a loving environment of listening, investigating and communicating to our family of God, in Christ Jesus.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

For unbaptized persons or those baptized in other Christian traditions who are over eighteen years old. The RCIA is a year-round process of weekly catechesis and spiritual formation which prepares candidates to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and First Holy Eucharist.

Adult Sacramental Preparation

For those baptized Catholics who, for whatever reason, did not fully complete their sacramental preparation as children. A series of sacramental formation sessions are offered to prepare for reception of First Holy Eucharist and Confirmation.

Returning Catholics

For those who have been separated from the Church and who now wish to explore coming back into communion with the the Body of Christ. This process listens to and dialogues with fallen away Catholics in order to heal the divisions between the Church and her members regardless of the reasons they occurred.

Lay Ministry Formation

Sessions designed to prepare for commissioning and to nurture, those members who are gifted and called to formal lay ministry as Lector, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, or Minister of Hospitality (usher).

Continuing Faith Formation

A variety of offerings for the continuing formation of adult members of Corpus Christi Catholic Church including Bible Studies, Catholic Films, Presentations on current events of importance to the Church, guest speakers, etc…
